Ashtonn's Baptism

Ashtonn had been planning this day for some time! He saved some water from the River Jordon to add to his baptism water. (his idea) When another child asked him why he was getting baptized, Ashtonn said, "because Jesus did and I want to follow Him."

Ashtonn is one of the first people to get baptized in this font! He will be able to tell his children that he was baptized in the first LDS chapel in the Middle East!

The last of the Florentin kids to get baptized!

Practicing!

He didn't know I was taking this picture. He was so excited!

Ashtonn explained to everyone what the water in the bottle was and why it was special to him.

All clean!

brrrr!

Best. Day. EVER!!!

Service project!

We felt very blessed to help put together 5,000 hygiene kits for the Syrian refugees.

Yas Waterpark

Yas Waterpark is just 5 min. from home! We try to go at least once a week! It has the first  looped water slide," Liwa Loop." We love the big family slides and the awesome tube slides. The roller coaster is also a blast! But, when we're done with the big slides sometimes some time in the splash pad is fun too!

We tried coconut water for the first time. Not our favorite, but it made for a good picture!

Ashtonn and his friend Sully, rippin it up!

Gymnastics meet in Dubai

Collete placed 4th place all around and did very well! We are so proud of her efforts! She  worked hard all year for just one meet. Way to go Colette!

We love our scouts!

Bennet had a great year in cub scouts!

Sis. Tibbets was a fun den leader!

Dallin also rocked it this year with some new merit badges and some great new friends. At the Court of Honor he got to meet this former Navy Seal and Admiral!

Al Ain sand dunes

We like to go out to the dunes for a little campfire and fun with friends. The kids love rolling around in the sand and exploring. They always manage to find dry wood to burn!
I like the tinfoil dinner and marshmallows myself!
The sunsets are amazing! This is Dallin retrieving his sandals!

We had about 5 families out this day. Lots of fun!

Burj Kalifa

We went to the top of the Burj Kalifa! It felt like we were looking down at the city from an airplane! The Burj is 2,722 feet and is the tallest building in the world. Unfortunately it was a little sandy the day we went but we could still see quite a lot! We took a dizzy elevator ride to the top!

The Dubai mall is to the left and the green circles are the world famous Dubai fountains.

This was a cool telescope. It would show you what everything looked like prior to construction, at night, on a clear day and real time.
